Fourth-graders Eric Torres, Ernest Mitchell, Elijah Parker, and Mohamed Mohamed, of the Children's School of Rochester #15, collaborated on their first-place winning entry in the Prevention 1st Home Fire Drill Poster Contest.. An exciting part of their prize was a visit to a firehouse--and the busiest one in Rochester, Engine 16, made time to share a meal with them.

Chief Salvadore Mitrano III, Battalion 1 Chief Tom May, Deputy Chief George Peterson, and Director of Fire Administration Molly Clifford all turned out to congratulate the young artists during their visit, along with Grade 4 Teacher Melodie Valenciano, to Engine 16's quarters on Hudson Avenue. Firefighter Jim Blaesi and his fellow firefighters gave them a tour and served them lunch.
